May 31, 2009 - OTCM member Becky Sisley continued her busy track season with the heptathlon at the Salem Track Club Combined Meet on May 30 and 31.  Her official score is 6098, for a new American and World Record!

Along the way, Becky's javelin throw of 27.40 meters (89' 10 3/4") is also an American record.

Since recently turning 70, Becky has also run well under our own Barbara Jordan's American Record in the 80m hurdles, with a pair of 17.1 hand times.  But hand times are not allowed for records at 400m or shorter, so Barbara's 17.80 from the 2006 nationals still stands for now.
